Alp is located in the region of Cerdaña. Surrounded by nature and wild forests, the city is transformed into a winter home to thousands of skiers. The nearest ski slopes are the famous La Molina and La Masella. It is a lively town, where you can enjoy nature both summer and winter.
As we have said, its main attraction is the ski slopes that have been in operation since 1909. That is why the village lives from this great economic power. Add also the strong gastronomic offer of the area, being this a sample of its main strengths.
In the municipality there are several places of interest such as L'Avetà and Font dels ocells. There are also several religious buildings such as the 12th century church of Sant Pere. We can also find the chapel of the Divina Pastora adjacent to the river tower, the Castle of Segramorta and the Dolmen of Pavorda.
There are many reasons to visit Alp in summer, these are some of them; the temperature is ideal, in the mornings you can go in short sleeves and at night with a light coat. There are many places where you can do activities, for both old and young people. Contact with nature as well as with animals is essential for your well being. The food is spectacular wherever you go. We recommend the "carn d'olla" or the "trinxat de la cerdanya", typical winter food.
Finally, equip yourself with a camera to immortalize the beautiful landscapes.
